“This photo is taken in a ship, traveling from Athens to Heraklion, Crete. What I first saw was the young woman. The window creates an excellent frame. The beautiful woman staring at the sea could be a photo by itself. But what excites me more in photography is the creation of interesting stories. So I chose to tell a story about these three people, an elderly couple and a young woman. The contrast is between the dreamy environment of the exterior and the realistic, down to earth environment of the interior. His woman is sleeping but it seems like the man is having an exciting dream. Some details such as the binoculars and the Exit sign give a more dramatic tone to the shot.”
Eleven photo project is now on!
It’s about time to continue our photographic project! This year we will capture the moment with our cameras! The subject is the same as last year, a self portrait or a photo of your surrounding environment. We are taking photos this Friday the 11th of November at 11:11am. For those who wish to take a night shot, you can shoot at 11.11pm as well!
Your photo should be at least 600px at it’s smaller size.
The only thing you have to do is send your photos to eleven.photo.project@gmail.com together with your name/nickname, a contact link (facebook, email, twitter, website) and the name of the place that you are on the picture. It’s more convenient to use your name/nickname as a filename for your photo (for example thomas_stavrou.jpg). This will help us organize and publish the photos quicker!
The dead line is on the 14th of November but the sooner you send us the photo the better is it. When we recieve the photo you will get a confirmation email. Please also note that two days before the publication of the photos we will publish a list with the names of the participants.
Besides the online publication there will be also a registed domain in where we will post all the photos separately.
